Small Groups / Bible Studies

  • One adult group meets on Sunday at 10:15 after service.
  • Women's Bible Study is the first and third Wednesday at 10:00 am in the conference room.
  • Pastor Bill's Bible Study is each Wednesday at noon. This Bible study is in-person or on Zoom. Contact the office to join the online meeting. This Bible study expands the scriptures to be used on the following Sunday.

Children’s Ministry

Kids Night- for children grades 2-12 from the community. They meet the first and third Wednesday from 5:30- 7:30 pm. They enjoy a meal, crafts, games, a lesson, and fellowship with other children.

Care Closet

Care Closet provides diapers, wipes, formula, and other necessary baby items for a needy family. Come to the church office during office hours and talk to Terry. 


Alliance of Churches Food Pantry

The Alliance of Churches' food pantry for the community is housed and run through Central Community UMC. The churches in Shell Knob support this ministry through food and monetary donations. The pantry is open from 9:00-Noon and 1:00- 3:30 Monday thru Wednesday.  Appointments are appreciated. Families can access the pantry once a month if necessary. Thrifty Closet

The Thrifty Closet is an outreach ministry of CCUMC.  It is located in the Bridgeway Plaza. It provides reasonably priced clothing, accessories and small household items. The store is run by volunteers from throughout the community. Profits from the Thrifty Closet are used to provide assistance to individuals and organizations in need. Store hours are Monday- Friday 9-3:30 and Saturday 9-12:30.

USDA Foods

U.S.D.A. Foods are provided by Central Community United Methodist Church. Volunteers from our church, the community, and Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch work together to provide food items for the people of the community.

The Harvest Community Garden provides fresh fruit and vegetables to various individuals and local organizations.
They are gearing up for next season. Beds are available to plant and harvest your garden spot. Or just join in the community site and help others.

Volunteers serve the weekly meal at His House. They provide meals for around one hundred people each week.

lighthouse ministries

Lighthouse Ministries provides ground beef and chicken to the local food pantry. Crafters sell their creations and all money is donated to purchase meat.
